He it is Who sends down water for you from the sky out of which you drink and out of which grow the plants on which you pasture your cattle, 10 (With this water) He causes corn, olives, palm-trees, vines, and all kinds of fruits to grow. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of understanding. 11 And He has subjected for you the night and day and the sun and moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reason. 12 And all the [beauty of] many hues - which He has created for you on earth: in this, behold, there is a message for people who [are willing to] take it to heart! 13 It is He who subjected to you the sea, that you may eat of it fresh flesh, and bring forth out of it ornaments for you to wear; and thou mayest see the ships cleaving through it; and that you may seek of His bounty, and so haply you will be thankful. 14 And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; 15 And landmarks. And by the stars they are [also] guided. 16 Is He who creates as he who does not create? Will you not remember? 17 And if you enumerate the favours of Allah, you will never be able to count them; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And Allah doth know what ye conceal, and what ye reveal. 19 And those they invoke other than Allah create nothing, and they [themselves] are created. 20 They are dead, not living; nor do they know when they will be raised to life. 21
