Hizb 28
< random >
۞ God says, "Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me". 51 And His is whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and unto Him is obedience due perpetually; will ye then fear any other than Allah? 52 And whatever favor is (bestowed) on you it is from Allah; then when evil afflicts you, to Him do you cry for aid. 53 Yet when He has delivered you from affliction, some of you ascribe companions to your Lord 54 that they may show unthankfulness for that We have given them. So take your joy; certainly you will soon know! 55 As it is, they ascribe - out of what We provide for them as sustenance - a share unto things of which they know nothing. By God, you shall most certainly be called to account for all your false imagery! 56 They attribute daughters to God, the glorious, but for themselves whatsoever they please. 57 When the birth of a girl is announced to any of them, his face darkens and he is filled with gloom. 58 Because of the evil of the good news he hides himself from people, (pondering) whether he will keep her and be humiliated, or trample her into the dust. Evil is their judgement! 59 To those who believe not in the Hereafter, applies the similitude of evil: to Allah applies the highest similitude: for He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. 60
