And kill not your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Surely, the killing of them is a great sin. 31 (viii) Do not even approach fornication for it is an outrageous act, and an evil way. 32 And do not kill anyone which Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause. And whoever is killed (intentionally with hostility and oppression and not by mistake), We have given his heir the authority [(to demand Qisas, Law of Equality in punishment or to forgive, or to take Diya (blood money)]. But let him not exceed limits in the matter of taking life (i.e. he should not kill except the killer only). Verily, he is helped (by the Islamic law). 33 And do not approach the property of an orphan, except in the way that is best, until he reaches maturity. And fulfill [every] commitment. Indeed, the commitment is ever [that about which one will be] questioned. 34 While weighing, use proper measurements in the exchange of your property. This is fair and will be better in the end. 35 (xiii) Do not follow that of which you have no knowledge. Surely the hearing, the sight, the heart - each of these shall be called to account. 36 Do not walk proudly in the earth. Indeed, you will never tear open the earth, nor attain the height of mountains. 37 All of that -- the wickedness of it is hateful in the sight of thy Lord has revealed to thee: 38 That is of the wisdom thy Lord set not up with God another god, or thou wilt be cast into Gehenna, reproached and rejected. 39 What, has your Lord favoured you with sons and taken to Himself from the angels females? Surely it is a monstrous thing you are saying! 40
