And We have explained in this Qur’an in various ways, for them to understand; and it increases nothing except their hatred towards it. 41 Say, "If there were [other] deities along with Him, as they claim, then they would surely have tried to find a way to the Lord of the Throne. 42 Glory be to Him! Exalted above all that they say! 43 The seven heavens, the earth, and whatever is between them all glorify Him. There is nothing that does not glorify Him and always praise him, but you do not understand their praise and glorification. He is All-forbearing and All-forgiving. 44 But [thus it is:] whenever thou recitest the Qur'an, We place an invisible barrier between thee and those who will not believe in the life to come: 45 We put a veil over their hearts so that they cannot understand it. We deafen their ears. When you mention your Lord in this Quran as One (Supreme Being), they run away. 46 We know best of what they listen to, when they listen to you. And when they take secret counsel, behold, the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.) say: "You follow none but a bewitched man." 47 See what they compared you to. They have surely gone astray and cannot find a Path. 48 "What!" they say, "When we are turned to bones and dust, shall we be restored to life?" 49 Say: Become stones or iron, 50 ۞ Or [any] creation of that which is great within your breasts." And they will say, "Who will restore us?" Say, "He who brought you forth the first time." Then they will nod their heads toward you and say, "When is that?" Say, "Perhaps it will be soon - 51 The Day whereon He will call you, and ye will answer with His praise, and ye will imagine that ye had tarried but little. 52
