And recall when Moosa said to his assistant, “I will not give up until I reach the place where the two seas meet or until I have progressed for ages.” 60 But when they came to the point where the two met, they forgot their fish, which made its way burrowing into the sea. 61 And when the twain had passed by, he said unto his page: bring us our morning-meal, assuredly we have met from this journey of ours, toil 62 He said: Didst thou see, when we took refuge on the rock, and I forgot the fish - and none but Satan caused me to forget to mention it - it took its way into the waters by a marvel. 63 Musa said: that is that which we have been seeking. So they turned back upon their footsteps, retracing. 64 Then they found one from among Our servants whom We had granted mercy from Us and whom We had taught knowledge from Ourselves. 65 Musa said to him: Shall I follow you on condition that you should teach me right knowledge of what you have been taught? 66 He replied, "You will not be able to bear with me patiently. 67 How canst thou bear with that whereof thou canst not compass any knowledge? 68 [Moses] said, "You will find me, if Allah wills, patient, and I will not disobey you in [any] order." 69 He (Khidr) said: "Then, if you follow me, ask me not about anything till I myself mention it to you." 70
