And man saith: When I am dead, shall I forsooth be brought forth alive? 66 Does man not remember that before We created him he was nothing? 67 By your Lord, We shall most surely gather them and the devils too; and bring them close to hell on their knees. 68 We shall then pick out from every group the one who was most arrogant towards the Most Gracious. 69 We know best who deserve to be burnt in (the Fire). 70 And there is not one of you but shall come to it; this is an unavoidable decree of your Lord. 71 Then We shall deliver those that were godfearing; and the evildoers We shall leave there, hobbling on their knees. 72 When Our revelations are recited to them, the unbelievers say to the faithful ones, "Which of us is more prosperous?" 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance? 74 Say: "The Most Compassionate Lord grants respite to those who stray into error, until they behold what they had been threatened with, either God's chastisement (in the world) or the Hour (of Resurrection)" - then they fully know whose station is worse, and who is weaker in hosts! 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" 77 Has he penetrated to the Unseen, or has he taken a contract with (Allah) Most Gracious? 78 Never; We shall now record what he says and give him a prolonged punishment. 79 And it is We only Who shall inherit what he says (belongs to him), and he will come to Us, alone. 80 And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory! 81 Indeed no! They will renounce their worship and turn against them. 82
