T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 He said, “Pick it up and do not fear; We shall restore it to its former state.” 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
