T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 So when he came near the fire, it was announced, “O Moosa!” 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
