T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not sent down this Qur’an upon you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) for you to fall into hardship! (Either because he used to pray at length during the night or because he was distressed due to the disbelievers not accepting faith.) 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
