Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 By him confirm my strength 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember You much: 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
