Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 and ease my task for me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Increase through him my strength 31 "And make him share my task: 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
