He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 And make my mission easy. 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 and may remember You much. 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
