Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 Make my task easy 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 And share my task, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
