He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 and ease my task for me. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Increase through him my strength 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 Both of you go to him (Pharaoh) and say: "We are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel depart with us, and do not punish them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; peace be on him who follows guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
