He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 and ease my task for me, 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
