The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 These will be the heirs, 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
