“O Noble Messengers, eat good clean things, and do good deeds; I know all that you do.” 51 Surely this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so fear Me.' 52 But they (men) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its belief. 53 So leave them in their bewilderment for a while. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; 59 And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- 63 Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels 66 behaving arrogantly, and making fun, and talking nonsense (about the Book in your nightly chats)." 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or, is it because they do not recognize their Messenger that they denied him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Or dost thou [O Muhammad] ask of them any worldly recompense? But [they ought to know that] recompense from thy Sustainer is best, since He is the best of providers! 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 But those who believe not in the Hereafter turn away from the straight path. 74 ۞ And though We have mercy on them We may remove whatsoever of hurt is with them, surely they would persist in their exorbitance, wandering perplexed. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
