I told them, "Messengers, eat from the pure things and act righteously; I know all that you do. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 Yet they have split their affairs between themselves into sects, each rejoicing in what it has. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Do they fancy that Our continuing to give them wealth and children (means) that 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Those who tremble with fear of their Lord; 57 and believe in His messages 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). 60 These people hasten to perform goodness, and it is they who shall reach it first. 61 On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged. 62 In fact, the hearts of the unbelievers are in the dark because of their ignorance of real virtue; they act against it. 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 [But they will be told] "Cry not in supplication today; for, behold, you shall not be succoured by Us! 65 My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
