Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 And verily, this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: remain, then, conscious of Me! 52 But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Verily! Those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 We charge not any soul save to its capacity, and with Us is a Book speaking truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate. 64 "Put a stop to your groaning now! Surely no help shall be provided to you from Us. 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Or do they say that there is madness in him? Nay, he has brought them the Truth and it is the Truth that most of them disdain. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 And indeed those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviated from the Straight Path. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 And already We overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their Lord, nor do they humble themselves. 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
