O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 Your religion is one and I am your Lord. Have fear of Me". 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 These people hasten to perform goodness, and it is they who shall reach it first. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 But their hearts are heedless of this. Moreover, there are other deeds besides this which they do. 63 until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 Time and again were My messages conveyed unto you, but [every time] you would turn about on your heels 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or do they say: "There is madness in him"? Nay, he has brought them the truth - and the truth do most of them detest! 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 but those who disbelieve in the Everlasting Life deviate from the Path. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 until We opened upon them the door of a severe chastisement. Then lo, in this state they become utterly despaired of any good. 77
