۞ And those who do not expect to meet Us said, “Why were the angels not sent down to us or we been able to see our Lord?” Indeed they thought too highly of themselves and they turned extremely rebellious. 21 There will be no good tidings for the guilty on the day they see the angels; and they will cry out, "Keep away, keep away!" 22 And We will proceed to what they have done of deeds, so We shall render them as scattered floating dust. 23 Those who have earned the Garden on that day will be better in their home and happier in their place of noonday rest; 24 And on the day when the heaven shall burst asunder with the clouds, and the angels shall be sent down descending (in ranks). 25 The true kingship on that day belongs to the Most Gracious; and that is hard for the disbelievers. 26 And (remember) the Day when the Zalim (wrong-doer, oppressor, polytheist, etc.) will bite at his hands, he will say: "Oh! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger (Muhammad SAW). 27 Alas, would that I had not taken So-and-so for a friend! 28 He led me away from the true guidance after it had come to us. Satan is a traitor to people." 29 And the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) will say: "O my Lord! Verily, my people deserted this Quran (neither listened to it, nor acted on its laws and orders). 30 And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say: "Why is not the Quran revealed to him all at once?" Thus (it is sent down in parts), that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages. (It was revealed to the Prophet SAW in 23 years.). 32 They bring not to thee any similitude but that We bring thee the truth, and better in exposition. 33 Those who will be pushed faces forward into Hell will be in a worse position, farther away from the path. 34
