۞ And those who do not expect to meet Us said, “Why were the angels not sent down to us or we been able to see our Lord?” Indeed they thought too highly of themselves and they turned extremely rebellious. 21 The day they see the angels there will be no happy tidings for the sinners; and they will say: "There is an insurmountable barrier!" 22 And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. 23 [whereas] on that same Day those who are destined for paradise will be graced with the best of abodes and the fairest place of repose. 24 And on the Day on which the skies, together with the clouds, shall burst asunder, and the angels are made to descend in a mighty descent 25 The sovereignty on that Day will be the true (sovereignty), belonging to the Most Beneficent (Allah), and it will be a hard Day for the disbelievers (those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism). 26 Upon the day the evildoer shall bite his hands, saying, 'Would that I had taken a way along with the Messenger! 27 Oh, woe is me! Would that I had not taken so-and-so for a friend! 28 "He did lead me astray from the Message (of Allah) after it had come to me! Ah! the Evil One is but a traitor to man!" 29 The Messenger will say, "Lord, my people did indeed discard the Quran," 30 For so it is that against every prophet We have set up enemies from among those who are lost in sin: yet none can guide and give succour as thy Sustainer does! 31 And those who disbelieve say: wherefore is the Qur'an not revealed unto him entire at once! Thus - We reveal - that We may establish thy heart therewith; and We have repeated it with a repetition. 32 And they shall not bring to you any argument, but We have brought to you (one) with truth and best in significance. 33 Those who shall be mustered to Gehenna upon their faces -- they shall be worse in place, and gone further astray from the way. 34
