Blessed is He who placed in the heavens constellations of stars, and placed a burning lamp in it and the luminous moon. 61 It is He who made the night and day an alternation for him who cares to reflect and be grateful. 62 And the bondmen of the Compassionate are those who walk upon the earth meekly and when the ignorants address them, they say peace 63 And they who pass the night prostrating themselves before their Lord and standing. 64 who say, "Our Lord, ward off from us the punishment of Hell, for its punishment is a dreadful torment to suffer. 65 Lo! it is wretched as abode and station; 66 who, when they expend, are neither prodigal nor parsimonious, but between that is a just stand; 67 those who never invoke any other deity besides God, nor take a life which God has made sacred, except with the right to do so, nor commit adultery. Anyone who does that shall face punishment: 68 he shall have his suffering doubled on the Day of Resurrection and he will abide forever in disgrace, 69 But only those who repent and believe and act righteously will have their sins replaced by virtue; God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 70 Those who repent and act righteously have truly returned to God, 71 And those who do not give false testimony, and when they pass near some indecency, they pass by it saving their honour. 72 who do not behave like the blind and the deaf, when the Revelations of their Lord are recited to them for admonition; 73 and who pray "O our Sustainer! Grant that our spouses and our offspring be a joy to our eyes, and cause us to be foremost among those who are conscious of Thee!" 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest rank for their patience. There they shall receive a greeting, and peace! 75 They will live therein forever, the best abode and place of rest. 76 SAY [unto those who believe]: "No weight or value would my Sustainer attach to you were it not for your faith [in Him]!" And say unto those who deny [the truth:] "You have indeed given the lie [to God's message,] and in time this [sin] will cleave unto you!" 77
