And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 He said: "Certainly not! So go both of you with Our Signs. We shall be with you listening to everything. 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 Send the Israelites with us". 17 He (Pharaoh) said (to Moses): 'Did We not bring you up when you were a child? And have you not spent years of your life amongst us? 18 You spent many years of your life among us and then you committed that deed of yours. You are very ungrateful indeed." 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle. 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 Moses went on, "He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
