And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 Allah said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 That you should send the children of Israel with us.' 17 (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us. 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers. 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? 23 Moses said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if only you would be convinced." 24 Fir'awn said unto those around him: hear ye not? 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Verily, your Messenger who has been sent to you is a madman!" 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 (The Pharaoh) said: "If you took another god apart from me I will have you incarcerated." 29 He said: What! even if I bring to you something manifest? 30 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
