The people of Noah accused the apostles of lies. 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 and drowned the rest. 120 There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them do not believe: 121 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 122
