(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 to support me. 31 And let him share my task, 32 so that we exalt You 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 We had already shown you favor 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
