The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 I am certainly not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a Prophet. 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said: 'My Lord, my nation have belied me. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 In this there is evidence (of the truth) but most of them do not have any faith. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
