The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
