The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
