The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 In response they denied him – therefore the punishment of the day of the tent* seized them; that was indeed a punishment of a Great Day. (The clouds formed a tent and rained fire upon them). 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
