1/4 Hizb 38
< random >
The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 and [in all your dealings] weigh with a true balance, 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
