Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
Almighty God's Truth.
