This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
