The Ant (Al-Naml)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book 1 A guidance and glad tidings for the believers. 2 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. 3 As for those who will not believe in the life to come - behold, goodly have We made their own doings appear unto them, and so they stumble blindly to and fro 4 Those are they for whom is the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 You have received this Quran from One who is all-wise, all-knowing. 6 When Moses said to his household: 'Indeed, I can see a fire far away. I will go and bring you news of it or I will bring you a lighted flame so that you can warm yourselves' 7 So when he came to it a voice was uttered saying: Blessed is Whoever is in the fire and whatever is about it; and glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds; 8 O Moses, I am God, the Powerful, the Wise. 9 Throw down your staff." When he saw it wriggling like a serpent he turned his back and fled without turning (to look). "O Moses," (said the voice), "be not fearful. Surely those sent as messengers do not fear in My presence, 10 Otherwise, he who wrongs, then substitutes good after evil - indeed, I am Forgiving and Merciful. 11 "Now put thy hand into thy bosom, and it will come forth white without stain (or harm): (these are) among the nine Signs (thou wilt take) to Pharaoh and his people: for they are a people rebellious in transgression." 12 But when Our Clear Signs came to them, they said: "This is plain magic." 13 And they denied them – whereas in their hearts they were certain of them – due to injustice and pride; therefore see what sort of fate befell the mischievous! 14
