And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. 70 And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?" 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 And verily thy Lord knoweth all that their hearts do hide. As well as all that they reveal. 74 And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 And it certainly is a Guide and a Mercy to those who believe. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; surely you are on the clear truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Thou shalt not guide the blind out of their error neither shalt thou make any to hear, save such as believe in Our signs, and so surrender. 81 ۞ And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. 82
