AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!" 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 We said to Him, "Take a handful of twigs in your hand and strike with that but do not break your oath." We found him steadfast. What an excellent servant! He turned constantly to his Lord. 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding. 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 However, the rebellious ones will have the worst place to return. 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They say, 'Our Lord, whoso forwarded this for us, give him a double chastisement in the Fire!' 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
