Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 We have been promised this, and our fathers before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 68 Say thou: travel in the land and behold what like hath been the end of the culprits. 69 Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed at their schemes. 70 Yet they say: "When will this promise come to pass? (Tell Us) if you speak the truth." 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 And surely your Lord is the Lord of grace to men, but most of them are not grateful. 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 there is nothing hidden in heaven and on earth, but is recorded in a clear Book. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 It is a guidance and a mercy to believers. 77 Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82
