And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see the nature of the sequel for the guilty! 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 Verily your Lord knows what lies hidden in their breasts and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 and, verily, it is a guidance and a grace unto all who believe [in it]. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they flee turning their backs. 80 Nor can you lead the blind when they have gone astray. You can make none hear except those who believe in Our signs and have come to peace and submission. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to pass against them, We shall bring forth for them a creature from the earth that shall wound them, because people did not believe in Our communications. 82
