Can one who was given a better promise, which he will find come true, be like him who was given a little enjoyment of this life, but who will afterwards be brought (to judgement) on the Day of Resurrection? 61 On the day when He will call to them – He will therefore proclaim, “Where are those partners of Mine, whom you had assumed?” 62 Those against whom the Word is realized they shall say, 'Our Lord, those whom we perverted, we perverted them even as we ourselves erred. We declare our innocence unto Thee; it was not us that they were serving.' 63 And it will be said: Call your associate-gods. So they will call upon them, but they will not answer them, and they shall see the punishment; would that they had followed the right way! 64 That Day (Allah) will call to them, and say: "What was the answer ye gave to the messengers?" 65 Then the pleas shall become obscure to them on that day, so they shall not ask each other. 66 However, those who have repented and have become righteously striving believers will perhaps have everlasting happiness. 67 And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him. 68 And your Lord knows what their breasts conceal, and what they reveal. 69 for He is God, save whom there is no deity. Unto Him all praise is due, at the beginning and at the end [of time]; and with Him rests all judgment; and unto Him shall you all be brought back. 70 Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should make for you the night continuous until the Day of Resurrection, what deity other than Allah could bring you light? Then will you not hear?" 71 Say, "Do you not think that if God were to cause the day to continue until the Day of Judgment, which Lord besides Him could bring you the night to rest. Do you not see (His signs)?" 72 Of His mercy He has appointed for you night and day, for you to repose in and seek after His bounty, that haply you will be thankful.' 73 On the day when He will call to them – He will therefore proclaim, “Where are those partners of Mine, whom you had assumed?” 74 And We shall take out from every nation a witness and We shall say: Bring your proof. Then they will know that Allah hath the Truth, and all that they invented will have failed them. 75
