In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 The Romans have been defeated in a nearby land and after this defeat, 2 in the nearer part of the land; and, after their vanquishing, they shall be the victors 3 within a few years: [for] with God rests all power of decision, first and last. On that day the believers too will have cause to rejoice, 4 In the help of God. He helps whom He will; He is all-mighty, ever-merciful. 5 (It is) the promise of Allah. Never does Allah depart from His promise: but most men understand not. 6 People simply know the outward aspect of the worldly life but are utterly heedless of the Hereafter. 7 Have they not thought that God has not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them but for a genuine purpose to exist for an appointed term? Many people do not believe in their meeting with their Lord. 8 Have they not travelled in the earth and seen how was the end of those before them? They were stronger than these in prowess, and dug up the earth, and built on it in greater abundance than these have built on it, and there came to them their apostles with clear arguments; so it was not beseeming for Allah that He should deal with them unjustly, but they dealt unjustly with their own souls. 9 And once again: evil is bound to be the end of those who do evil by giving the lie to God's messages and deriding them. 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
