O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever OftForgiving, Most Merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts there is a sickness, and the scandal mongers in Madinah do not desist from their vile acts, We shall urge you to take action against them, and then they will hardly be able to stay in the city with you. 60 Accursed, wherever they are found, they will be seized and killed. 61 That hath been the dispensation of Allah with those who have passed away afore; and thou shalt not find in the dispensation of Allah any change. 62 Men ask thee of the Hour. Say: The knowledge of it is with Allah only. What can convey (the knowledge) unto thee? It may be that the Hour is nigh. 63 Allah has cursed the unbelievers and prepared for them a Blaze. 64 Abiders therein they shall be forever, and they shall find neither a protecting friend nor a helper. 65 On the Day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they shall say: "Oh, would that we had obeyed God, and obeyed the Messenger!" 66 And they would say: "Our Lord! We obeyed our chiefs and our great ones, and they misled us as to the (right) Path. 67 Our Lord, give them double punishment and curse them with a mighty curse." 68
