Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya Sin. 1 By the Wise Koran, 2 That you are indeed one of those sent 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 with a revelation sent down by the Mighty One, the Merciful, 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 Indeed, the word [of God's condemnation] is bound to come true against most of them: for they will not believe. 7 Verily We have placed on their necks shackles which are up to the chins; so that their heads are forced up. 8 and We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier; and We have covered them, so they do not see. 9 It is the same whether you have warned them or you have not warned them, they do not believe. 10 Thou canst warn only him who followeth the admonition and feareth the Compassionate, unseen. So bear thou unto him the glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous hire. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
