Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
YA SIN. 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom, 2 that you (Muhammad) are a Messenger 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful, 5 That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards. 8 And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see. 9 Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not. 10 Thou canst warn only him who followeth the admonition and feareth the Compassionate, unseen. So bear thou unto him the glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous hire. 11 Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register. 12
