The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And those who recite the message, 3 surely your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
