The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
