The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the rangers ranging 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
