The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 And those who recite the message, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
