The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
