۞ We had earlier given Abraham true direction, for We knew him well. 51 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: what are these images to which ye are cleaving? 52 They said, 'We found our fathers serving them.' 53 Abraham said, "Indeed, you and your fathers have been clearly misguided." 54 They said: Bringest thou unto us the truth, or art thou some jester? 55 He answered: "Nay, but your [true] Sustainer is the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth - He who has brought them into being: and I am one of those who bear witness to this [truth]!" 56 By Allah, I will certainly outwit your idols as soon as you have turned your backs and gone' 57 So he smashed them up to pieces with the exception of the biggest, so that they may turn to it. 58 (When they saw the idols in this state) they said: "Who has done this to our gods? Surely he is one of the wrong-doers." 59 Some of them said, "We heard a youth called Abraham speaking against the idols". 60 Said they: Then bring him before the eyes of the people, perhaps they may bear witness. 61 They said, "Abraham, was it you who did this to our deities?" 62 He said, 'No; it was this great one of them that did it. Question them; if they are able to speak!' 63 Then they turned to one another and said, "It is you yourselves who are in the wrong," 64 Thereafter they were made to turn over upon their heads, saying, assuredly thou knowest that they speak not. 65 (So Abraham) said: "Then why do you worship something apart from God that cannot profit you or do you harm? 66 Fie on you and all that ye worship instead of Allah! Have ye then no sense? 67 They exclaimed: "Burn him, and [thereby] succour your gods, if you are going to do [anything]!" 68 We said: O fire! be thou cool and peace unto Ibrahim. 69 They had sought to do him harm, but We frustrated them. 70 and We saved him and Lot and brought him to the land upon which We had bestowed Our blessings for all the people of the world. 71 And We bestowed upon him ls-haq and Ya qub as a grandson; and each one We made righteous. 72 and appointed them to be leaders guiding by Our command, and We revealed to them the doing of good deeds, and to perform the prayer, and to pay the alms, and Us they served. 73 To Lot, We gave judgment and knowledge and saved him from the village that had been committing corrupt deeds; for they were an evil nation and were debauched. 74 And We took him into Our mercy; surely he was of the good. 75

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
